President of SESDO, Yusupha Cham, stated that the sponsorship deal is a massive strategic partnership deal in line with East Forward Development Programmmes.
''I signed a two-year partnership with Yonna Group of Companies to develop sports in Serrekunda East,'' Cham said.
Yonna Group of Companies will annually pay a sum of D350,000 and D100,000 to SESDO for the sponsorship and branding.
They will benefit from the branding of Democracy Pavilion One, Two and other designated areas around the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
As part of the sponsorship deal, SESDO will open an account with Yonna Islamic Micro-Finance and Yonna Wallet.
All nawettan teams in Serrekunda East will also open account with Yonna Wallet.
Yonna Group and SESDO will both benefit from nawettan tickets selling in advance and paying the teams' gate fees through Yonna Wallet.
The partnership deal includes future financial empowerment, community engagement and cross-selling opportunities.
