Samger FC: Eminent for producing elating players for Gambia national teams

Samger Football Club is well-known for producing exciting players for The Gambia national teams since the inception of the club by former national team footballer Cherno Samba in 2002.

The Academy boys are currently playing their trade in the country’s second tier after spending majority of their football in the top flight league.

They have produced many exciting players for The Gambia national teams such as Omar Jassey alias Waterman, Haruna Jammeh alias Ron, Sulayman Marreh, Emmanuel Gomez, Mamadi Ngoum, Pa Sulayman Badjie, Ebrima Jaiteh alias Bura and Ebrima Jarjue.

Meanwhile, Samger Football club won FF and super cup crowns once in their history under the guidance of former coach Jane Joof, who is now the head coach of Fortune Football Club in The Gambia’s top flight league.

The Academy boys are now coached by former Brikama United and Gamtel gaffer Sulayman Kuyateh.
