The Red boys made an astonishing start to the match and created numerous goal scoring chances. Striker Sedia Barrow gave Red Star FC the lead in the 10th minute. Mafugu Demba double their lead in the 25th minute to dash Mighty Ajax FC’s hope of coming back to their feet.
Ba-Alieu Kunta pulled back one for Mighty Ajax FC in the 35th minute thus the first half ended 2- in favor of Red Star FC.
Upon resumption of the match, striker Mafugu Demba and Sedia Barrow netted the third and fourth goals for Red Star FC in the 60th and 69th minutes respectively.
Substitutes Lamin Kunta and Ansumana Jarju scored the second and third goals for Mighty Ajax FC in the 70th and 80th minutes thus the game ended 4-3 in favour of Red Star FC.
As champions, Red Star FC went home with a giant trophy and a cash price of D25, 000 while runners up Mighty Ajax FC received D15, 000 as consolation.
