Red Scorpions secures 12th Women League titles

Red Scorpions have grabbed their 12th league title following their 4-1 thumping victory over TMT in their week-16 match played at the KG5 Mini Stadium in Banjul on Saturday.

Nafisatou M. Colley opened the scoring for TMT in the 23rd minute before Red Scorpion restore parity seven minutes later through Fatoumatta Jammeh; thus the first half ended 1-all.
Kumba Kuyateh netted the second goal for Red Scorpion in the 64th minute before Maimuna Dukureh hits the third goal six minutes later.
The Bakau-born Kumba Kuyateh netted her second goal in stoppage time to earn Red Scorpion a vital win over TMT.
Red Scorpions are now seven points clear at the top of the table league with two games to spare with 42 points after winning 14 matches and losing two.

Second-place, Berewuleng FC hammered Brikama United 4-1 at the Box Bar Mini Stadium on Saturday.
They are now with 35 points after winning 11 matches, drawing two and losing three.
The Gambia Police FC defeated City Girls 2-0 at the Late Ousman Saho Football field on Saturday.
Maimuna Sarr scored both goals during the match.
The Gambia Police FC are sitting-third on the table with 34 points; winning 10 matches, drawing four and losing three.

meanwhile, Koita FC drew goalless with Brikama United at the Bakau Mini Stadium on Sunday.
Koita sit fourth-place on league table with 29 points after winning eight matches, drawing five and losing three.
TMT FC occupy on the table standings with 28 points, winning eight, drawing four and losing four.

Immigration thrashed Future Bi 3-2 at Live Your Dream Sports in Basori on Sunday. Immigration occupy sixth-place on the league table with 16 points after winning five matches, drawing one and losing 10.
Future Bi sit seventh-place on the league table with 15 points; winning four, drawing three and losing nine.
Brikama United occupy 8th on the league table with 12 points after winning three matches, drawing three and losing 10.

City Girls sit ninth-place on the league table with 8 points after winning two matches, drawing two and losing 12.

The Gambia Armed Forces occupy bottom-place on the league table with seven points after 16 league outings; winning one, drawing four and losing 11.
