Red Scorpions gaffer upset after Berewuleng conquer

The head coach of Red Scorpions, Choro Mbenga Nyassi, was upset after her side’s 2-0 defeat against Berewuleng in their week-13 fixture of 2023-2024 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women's League Division One, played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium on Saturday.

Coach Mbenga was speaking to journalists shortly after her side’s defeat to Berewuleng.
“I came to the match late because I travelled,’’ Coach Mbenga said.
Coach Mbenga stated that the performance of her side in the first 5 minute of the match was very good, adding that they created chances but failed to score.

She further stated that Berewuleng came for a draw.

Coach Mbenga congratulated Berewuleng more especially their captain who controlled the match.

She revealed that the defeat against Berewuleng is a learning point for her technical staff.
"If we really want to win the league title again we have to step up.

‘‘Losing twice this season is not good for Red Scorpions, so we have to double our efforts,’’ Coach Mbenga explained.

Reacting to the two penalties missed during the match, Coach Mbenga said she was not happy after her side missed two penalties during the match.

Coach Mbenga stated they would go back to the drawing board and prepare well for their next league fixture against Future Bi.

Head coach of Berewuleng, Fakebba Saine, expressed delight after his defeated Red Scorpions.

Coach Saine commended goal poacher Kumba Kassama and skipper Diminga Mendy for their outstanding performance during the match.
Meanwhile, Future Bi defeated GAF 2-0.

 TMT FC drew 1-1 with Koita, while Immigration thumped City Girls 2-0.

The Gambia Police Force beat Brikama United 1-0
