Red Scorpion secure sixth triumph in women’s Division One League

Red Scorpions on Sunday defeated Koita 3-1 to secure their six win in the ongoing Gambia Football Federation women’s league division one played at Live Your Dream Sports in Basori.

Kumba Kuyateh, Fatou Fatty and Maimuna Dukureh were on target for the Jeshwang in the 31st, 45th and 86th minute of the match respectively.

Juwana Mendy scored Koita’s consolation goal.

The Jeshwang based-club won all their six opening matches  with 18 points.

Berewuleng thrashed The Gambia Armed Forces 3-0 at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium on Friday,

Sara Jarju scored a brace in the 12th and 35th minute of the match respectively before Nyima Sanneh scored the third in the 59 minute.

The Brikama based-club occupy second spot on the women’s League table with 15 points winning five matches and drawing one.

The Gambia Police Force  defeated Abuko United 1-0 at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field on Saturday. 

The Police are currently limping behind Berewuleng with 15 points after winning five matches and drawing one.

Koita sit fourth on the league table with 8 points after winning two matches, drawing two and losing two.

while Abuko United sit fifth-place with 6 points after winning  two matches and lost four, while Jeshwang United occupy  sixth on the league table with  5 points after winning  one, drawing two and losing three.

Raptim sit seventh on the league table with 5 points after winning one, drawing two and losing three.

On Sunday, Future regrouped to force a 1-1 draw against their struggling opponents at Live Your Dream Sports in Basori on Sunday.

 Sally Saidykhan opened the scoring for the capital city based-club in the 76minutes before Mirran Sanyang levelled the scores in stoppage time.

Future Bi are eighth position with 5 points after winning one match, drawing two and losing three.

 City Girls sit second from bottom with 4 points after winning one match, drawing one and  losing four.

The Gambia Armed Forces sit bottom-place on the league table with with 3 points after drawing three matches and losing three.
