Real suffer another setback in Gambian Premier League

Real de Banjul have suffered yet another setback in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League following their defeat on Saturday.

Real de Banjul were defeated 1-0 away by Marimoo Pakfood during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

Ebrima Fofana registered the only goal of the match for Marimoo Pakfood in the 42nd minute.

The win puts Marimoo Pakfood on 5th position with 28 points, two points behind Real de Banjul, who maintain 3rd position with 30 points.

Elsewhere, Fortune FC beat Banjul United 2-0 during a game played at the King George 5 Mini Stadium in Banjul.

Alieu Barry opened the scoring for Fortune FC in the 4th minute before Bernard Sylva sealed the victory for them in the 37th minute.

Fortune FC, who now seem to have found their redeem moved to 4th position with 29 points while struggling Banjul United dropped to 14th position with 19 points.

Struggling side, Greater Tomorrow defeated Gamtel FC 2-0 during a game played at the Live Your Dreams Sports Academy in Basori.

New signings Bully Drammeh opened the scoring for Greater Tomorrow in the 74th minute before Abdoulie Baldeh scored the second goal for them in the 84th minute.

Despite the win, Greater Tomorrow maintain 15th position with 18 points while Gamtel occupy 8th position with 23 points.

The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) were defeated by Brikama United 1-0 during a game played at the Bakau Mini Stadium.

Mustapha Drammeh’s only strike in the 21st minute was all but enough to earn Brikama United the maximum points.

The result dropped GAF to 7th position with 25 points while Brikama United sit 12th position with 20 points.
