Real record 5th win, Marimoo and Falcons draw in GFF 1st Division

Real de Banjul have recorded their fifth win of the season, while Marimoo Pakfood and falcons shared the spoils in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League week-10 fixtures played across two venues on Sunday.

Real de Banjul beat Waa Banjul 1-0 during a game played at the Lives Your Dreams Football Academy in Basori.

Abdoulie Ceesay scored the only goal in the match for Real de Banjul in the 80th minute of the game.

The Whites, Real de Banjul now collected their sixth win of the league, while Waa Banjul suffered their seventh defeat of the season.

Real de Banjul overall collected 6 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss, while Waa Banjul overall registered 1 win, 2 draws and 7 defeats after 10 league matches.

The win maintained Real de Banjul at the top of the table with 21 points, while Waa Banjul maintained bottom-place with 5 points.

Elsewhere, Marimoo Pakfood and Falcons played a 2-2 draw in a match played at the Bakau Mini-Stadium.

The Manjai-based team, Marimoo Parkfood took the lead in the first period through Cherno Jallow and Sulayman Jammeh, while Falcons restored purity in the second half through Bakary Touray and Edward Ndecky.

The Marimoo Parkfood now collected their sixth draw of the season, while Falcons now recorded their fourth draw of the league.

Marimoo Pakfood overall secured four victories, six draws and zero defeat, while Falcons overall secured five triumphs, four draws and one defeat after ten league games.

The result moved Falcons to 2nd position on the league table with 19 points, leveling with Wallidan, while Marimoo sit 4th position with 18 points.
