Real de Banjul have put their 2024\2025 Vista Bank-Baluwo sponsored Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division One League title credentials on track after their narrow victory over Gambian Dutch Lions.

The City Boys defeated Gambian Dutch Lions 2-1 in their tightly-contested week-eighteen encounter played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum on Friday.

Real de Banjul lost to The Gambia Armed Forces 2-0 before clashing with Gambian Dutch Lions, who are struggling in the country’s Elite League.

Coach Ebrima Jatta and his Real de Banjul charges were ambitious to thump Gambian Dutch Lions to put their First Division League title aspirations on track.

Real de Banjul scored two goals in the first half of the match to snatch a slender win over The Gambian Dutch Lions.

Gambian Dutch Lions pulled back one goal in the second half of the match, which eventually proved to be a consolation for them.

Real de Banjul still sit top-spot on the country’s Elite League table with 36 points in 18 league matches.

Gambian Dutch Lions occupy 12th place on the First Division League table with 17 points after 18 league outings.
