The tournament was organised and sponsored by Hon. Darboe National Assembly Member for Brikama North and Minority Leader of Parliament.
The tournament was designed to foster unity within the constituency.
The teams used the tournament to prepare themselves fit for the annual Brikama 'nawettan'.
The grand finale attracted high-profile guests such as executive members of the United Democratic Party.
Party leader and 2026 presidential flagbearer, Lawyer Ousainu ANM Darboe presented the trophy to the champions.
As part of his continued support for grassroots football, Hon. Darboe covered the registration fees of 17 teams participating in the on-going Brikama nawettan, amounting to D170,000.
In addition, 10 non-affiliated villages and teams received D5,000 each.
