PSV Wellingara record 1st win in GFF 1st Division League

PSV Wellingara recorded their first victory of the season, while Marimoo Pakfood were held in the week-seven fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League on Monday.

PSV Wellingara beat Greater Tomorrow 3-1 during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

Greater Tomorrow took the lead through Alieu Manneh's strike in the 23rd minute, before Yankuba Ceesay restored purity for PSV Wellingara in the 34th minute.

Lamin Sawaneh gave PSV Wellingara the lead in the 59th minute, while Lamin Kinteh sealed the victory for the Wellingara-based team in the 83rd minute.

The win maintained PSV Wellingara at the bottom (15th) position with 4 points, one point behind Greater Tomorrow who occupy 13th position with 5 points.

Team Rhino played a 1-1 draw against Marimoo Pakfood during a game played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Alagie Kujabi put Team Rhino ahead in the 34th minute before Dawda Darboe's last gasp leveler for Marimoo Pakfood.

Marimoo were forced to play more than half of the match with 10 men after Lasana Drammeh was shown his matching orders in the 41st minute.

The result tentatively put Team Rhino at 6th position with 11 points, while Marimoo Pakfood occupy 2nd position with 13 points after seven matches.
