Gambia National Olympic Committee meets beach volleyball team

The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC) on Tuesday welcomed the Gambia National beach volleyball teams at the Olympic House in Bakau.
Bajo was speaking to reporters on Monday at the Independence Stadium shortly after Gambia’s 1-all draw game against Sierra Leone when he made these remarks.
“There is no underdog and anything could happen in football. We will redouble our efforts to make history by securing qualification to Africa Women’s Cup of Nation (AWCON),’’ he said.
Bajo stated that the Federation is ready to give the team anything they need ahead of their crunch clash with Cameroon in the next round of the qualifiers to ensure they secure qualification.
When asked about his assessment of the Women’s Scorpion game against Sierra Leone he said: “I think it was a good game even though we missed some opportunities. We could have converted and secure maximum three points but Sierra Leonean prepared well after losing the first-leg 2-0 in Monrovia, Liberia.
