Mr. Saine was speaking during the 12th edition of the National Sports Award and Gala Night held at the Sir Dawda Jawara Conference Centre in Bijilo on Saturday.
He commended Musa Sise for establishing bilateral relationship between the Sports Journalist of The Gambia and Senegal.
Mr. Saine appealed to the Ministry of Youths and Sports to help sport journalists to travel to cover away matches for people to be informed about the performance of The Gambia national teams.
He also appealed to the government and business community to help the development of sports.
‘‘I am appealing to the government and business community to also support sport journalists in order to stage their yearly event meant to honour the most outstanding sports personalities,’’ Mr. Saine said.
