The Coastal Town Boys came from one nil down to draw 1-1 with Colley Stars FC in their week-fourteen fixture played at the Gunjur Nyamina Mini Stadium on Wednesday.
Gunjur United defeated Waa Banjul 1-0 before locking horns with Colley Stars FC, who beat Essau United 3-2.
The Coastal Town Boys and the Colley Star Boys were keen to defeat each other to close gap on teams above them on the Second Division League table.
Lamin Marong gave Colley Stars FC the lead in the 27th minute of the match after capitalising on Gunjur United custodian Muhammed Touray’s blunder.
Gunjur United responded back quickly for an equaliser and levelled matters through young midfielder Omar Jabang alias Ozil in the 30th minute of the match from a spectacular free-kick to salvage a point for the Coastal Town Boys.
Gunjur United now clutched 16 points after fourteen league matches.
Colley Stars FC bagged 19 points in fourteen league matches.
