Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Medina United, Tijan Masanneh Ceesay, has disclosed that his club spent D12 million in their 2026\2027 CAF Champions League preliminary qualifier campaign against Star Sports Academy of Sierra Leone.

Speaking on Coffee Time with Peter Gomez on West Coast Radio,  Ceesay revealed that a huge amount of money was spent despite Medina United's elimination from the continent's football clubs competition.

Meanwhile, Medina United drew 1-1 with Star Sports Academy in their second-leg match of the 2026\2027 CAF Champions League preliminary qualifier played on 12th September 2026 at the Independence Stadium.

It would be recalled that Medina United drew goalless with Star Sports Academy in their first-leg encounter of the continent's football clubs competition qualifier played on 5th September 2026 at the Southern Arena Stadium in Bo City, Sierra Leone.
