Marimoo coach assures fans of fighting spirit in Gambia Premier League

Marimoo Pakfood head coach, Mamadou Jallow has assured the club’s fans that they will keep pushing and fighting as a team.

Coach Mamadou Jallow made the remarks in an interview with reporters shortly after defeating Wallidan FC 1-0 during their week-nineteen fixture of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) 1st Division League match played at the King George 5 Mini Stadium in Banjul.

Wallidan’s defender Foday Seckan scored an own-goal during the match to help Marimoo Pakfood collect the vital maximum points.

The Manjai-based team, who recorded back-to-back impressive wins against Real de Banjul and Wallidan have now recorded their seventh win of the season.

"This win is important for our confidence. We will keep pushing and fighting as a team," said coach Jallow.

Coach Jallow went on to assure the club’s supporters of the team's full commitment to the task at hand, stating that they are not looking too far ahead.

Meanwhile, Marimoo Pakfood overall recorded 7 victories, 10 draws and suffered 2 defeats after 19 matches. They sit 3rd position with 31 points.
