Centre-back Faburama Jaiteh's 4th minute own goal gave Manjai the lead.
Adama Jawo extended Manjai's lead in the second half.
Abdou Jatta alias Zapata pulled back one goal for Serrekunda East in the 78th minute of the match from the penalty spot, which eventually proved to be a consolation for the Serrekunda East Boys.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the match, head coach of Serrekunda East, Modou Ndow alias Cabla, stated that Serrekunda East played the entire match without any injury.
"We were ahead of Manjai on the table before our match. We secured 6 points after two group matches," Coach Ndow said.
Coach Ndow revealed that his mission is to take Serrekunda East to Kanifing Municipality zonal football tournament final and win the trophy.
"We need to go back and rectify our errors. You can see, Manjai played with the second team of Serrekunda East, he said, adding that they would meet Manjai in the final."
Head coach of Manjai , Omar Sey, congratulated his boys, technical staff and everyone.
"I told my players that they should listen to fans outside. We played our match that is the most important thing. We respected Serrekunda East during the match because they are a very good zone," Coach Sey noted.
Gaffer Sey acknowledged that Serrekunda East have great players, adding that the final won’t be easy.
Meanwhile, Serrekunda East and Manjai will clash in the Kanifing Municipality Zonal Football Tournament final
The date for the final will be decided by the organising committee of Kanifing Municipality Zonal Football Tournament.
