Four best teams emanated from the 56-team that took part in the qualifiers to book their places in this year’s nawetan proper in Manjai Kunda following their respective wins during the qualifier’s process.
The four best teams that qualified for the new nawetan proper are Under 15 FC, Bufa FC, Kerr Sering and Huskers FC. They won all their knockout matches including the playoffs against last year’s relegated sides.
Under 15 eliminated last year’s relegated side Campeh Bi during their playoff match to book a place in the nawetan proper. Kerr Sering secured their spot in the nawetan proper after defeating Selection FC on penalty shootouts following a draw in the regulation time.
Bufa FC also gained promotion to the nawetan proper after beating Kololi Academy 1-0 in their playoff match. Huskers FC defeated Koita FC to go through to the nawetan proper.
Meanwhile, 33 teams are drawn into eight groups for the upcoming Manjai nawetan competition. Seven of the groups consist of four teams while Group B which comprised Old Hands FC consist of five teams.
