Gambia eye spot in AFCON qualifier proper

The Gambia senior national team is eyeing for a spot in the 2023 Africa qualifier proper.
Vypa, who was given the favorite tag ahead of the fight, was on the offensive from the referee’s first whistle attacking Lafa Nuwar.
The two heavyweight wrestlers traded blows before grabbing each other, as the two went to ground, Lafa was the quickest to react and rounded both hands around Vypa’s waist before forcing him down with the whole of his body weight.

Meanwhile, in the wrestling with blows “Borey Dorr” Ndigal Faal of Club Banjul Japoo needed just less than three minutes to beat Volume of Club Ebo Town Mbolo, Doctor of Club Feke Ma Si Boleh bounced back from his lost to Sew Dez to register a moral boosting victory over Ama of Club Kerr Serign Mbolo. Euma Saine of Club Sukutankulu needed extra time to defeat Gas of Club Yundum Mbolo in a tense encounter.
Baby Bala of Club Jabang Mbolo returned to winning ways with a victory over veteran Baboye of Club Serekunda Gom Sa Rew, Yaya Jammeh of Club Tysinger Family record his first victory in his last three outings after defeating Lionuwarr of Club Serekunda Mbolo.
Malam Niani of Club Tallinding United knockdown Chat of Tanji Mbolo, Bala Junior of Club Bala Family humiliated Euma Saine of Club Bundung Kai Bakh with a dominant display while Robel of Club Jabang Mbolo wrestled to ground Tonier of Club Sanchaba Ham Sa Chossan but Lafa Nuwar capped of the evening with his victory over Vypa of Club Bala Family.
