KMRFA embraces meeting with academies ahead of Easter U-15 tourney

Kanifing Municipal Regional Football Academies Association (KMRFAA) under the watchful eyes of Vice President, Abdourahman Bah Junior, on Monday 14th April 2025 held a meeting with football academies ahead of their Easter U-15 football tournament.

The meeting, which was held at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium, brought together all sixteen (16) participating academies.

The KMRFA had a direct interface with the registered academies for their upcoming Easter U-15 football tournament.

The meeting featured balloting for the championship.
The meeting was attended by Chief football Coach of Kanifing Municipality Ibrahim Khalil Dumbuya.

The meeting was also attended by members of the Exco as such as Vice President Abdourahman Bah Junior, Treasurer Amadou Dicko, Public Relations Officer (PRO) Eliman Sowe and Coordinator Abdourahman Abulay Bah Senior.

Ibrahim Khali Dumbuya has dilated on the rules and regulations of the Easter U-15 football tournament.
Dumbuya called for cooperation from the participating teams during the screening exercise and the tournament.

He also called on players to maintain discipline during screening and the tournament.

 Dumbuya highlighted key points such as rules and regulations ahead of the tournament.
He urged participating academies to comply during the course of screening exercise to avoid unnecessary stoppages.

He revealed that the winners and runners will receive football materials at the end of the tournament.

Dumbuya further revealed that The Gambia is currently preparing to host the WAFU Zone A U-15 boys and girls football tournaments.

 He pointed that it is an opportunity for participating teams to make sure their best players selected during the tournament.
 Meanwhile, academy team representatives also shared their fears and concerns with Exco members during the meeting.
The screening for all the sixteen (16) teams was on Tuesday 15th April 2025.

 According to the organisers of the tournament, the championship will begin today, Tuesday, 22nd April 2025.

Coach Khalil Dumbuya has started a grass roots football programme at Afri radio for publicity, transparency and accountability towards the development of academies within Kanifing Municipality.
