Jeshwang Utd record 9th win in GFF Women’s 2nd Division League

Jeshwang United recorded their 9th victory of the season during the week-13 fixtures of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s Second Division League played over the weekend.

Jeshwang United recorded the highest number of victories in the Women’s Second Tier after defeating Young Icons 2-0 during a game played at the Kiti Football Field on Saturday.

The loss was Young Icons’ eleventh defeat of the league.

The victory maintained Jeshwang United at the top of the league standing with 28 points after they drew one game and suffered two defeats after 12 games, while the defeat dropped Young Icons to rock bottom (10th) position with 3 points after eleven defeats, one win and zero draw in 12 matches.

Koita FC beat Lower Niumi 2-1 during the late encounter played at Kiti Field on Saturday.

Koita FC collected their 8th victory of the league, while The North Region-based team, Lower Niumi suffered their fifth defeat of the season.

Koita FC, who also collected three draws and one defeat after 12 matches, occupy 2nd position with 27 points, while Lower Nuimi who gathered five wins and two draws sit 4th position with 17 points.

Earlier on Friday, Future BI beat Foni Girls 3-1 in a game played at Kiti Football Field.

Future BI now collected their 7th win of the season, while Foni Girls suffered their 9th loss of the league.

Future Bi, who registered two draws and suffered three defeats after 12 matches moved to 3rd position with 23 points, while West Coast Region-based team, Foni Girls collected one win and two draws. They occupy 9th position with 5 points after 12 matches.

Prisons FC beat Greater Tomorrow 1-0 during a game played at the same football ground.

The win earned Prisons FC their sixth victory of the season, while Greater Tomorrow suffered their 5th defeat of the season.

The victory moved Prisons FC to 4th position with 20 points, while Greater Tomorrow occupy 6th position with 15 points.

Kintehs played a 3-3 draw against Raptim FC.

Kintehs FC now recorded their 6th draws of the league, while Tallinding-based team Raptim FC registered their 7th draw of the season.

The draw sent Kintehs FC to 7th position with 15 points, two points ahead of Raptim FC who occupy 8th position with 13 points.
