Independence Stadium in splendid shape to host Gambia, Gabon AFCON clash

The Independence Stadium football pitch is currently in fine shape to host The Gambia and Gabon 2021 Nations qualifiers in November 2020.

The Scorpions will welcome the Panthers in group D fixture of the continent’s bi-annual biggest football fiesta qualifiers at the country’s biggest football arena.

The stadium is currently under massive renovation to improve the quality of the football pitch as required by CAF and FIFA to host international matches.

Meanwhile, Independence Stadium football pitch has hosted many international matches since its inception in 80s.
