Real de Banjul gaffer expresses optimism of winning the division one league title

Bai Malley Wada, head coach of Real de Banjul Football Club has expressed optimism that his side will clinch the 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division One League title.

Coach Bai Malley Wadda and his charges finished third-place on The Gambia Football Federation GFF Division One league table last season. 

The city boys intensified their preparations ahead of the  country’s new premier league season.

Real de Banjul hosted Senegalese cup de champions Cassa Sports in an international friendly match played at the Live Your Dream Sports Complex at Basori last Friday .

“I am really impressed with the team’s performance during the course of the pre-season. We have played a couple of text games against very good opponents during this period and we have performed extremely well in all those games.”

Real De Banjul made some adjustment in their team following the signing of former Greater Tomorrow and Brikama United striker Papis Nyassi, who finished as the second leading goal scorer in The Gambia Football Federation Division One League last season.   

  The 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division One League season is set to begin Friday.

Real de Banjul will begin their campaign against league champions Fortune FC on Saturday 20 November 2021 at the independence stadium in Bakau at 10 p.m.
