Cham’s side needed a win to be crowned champions of the GFF Second Tier but settled for a goalless draw against Kanifing East at the Bakau Mini Stadium.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the final whistle, Cham said they were not good enough to win the match, adding that they have played better games and scored goals in previous games but were not clinical enough against Kanifing East.
He stated that his side was hungry for goals during the encounter, noting that such may have contributed to their lack of finding the back of their opponents’ net. However, he said they have accepted the result.
He went on to say that his side played a different style against Kanifing East. According to him, his team was the best in the league.
He congratulated and advised league champions TMT FC to continue the hard work.
He further stated that both the First and Second Division Leagues were decided on the final days of the season.
‘‘This tells you that our leagues are very competitive,” coach Cham said.
