Gunjur Utd cruise to FF Cup round of 16 after triumph over Marimoo FC

Gunjur United last Thursday sailed to the round of 16 of the 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) FF Cup Competition after defeating Marimoo FC 2-1 in their round of 32 fixture played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The duo came for victory to stay in the FF Cup Championship.

Gunjur United scored two goals in the match to snatch a slender win over Marimoo FC to progress to the round of 16 of the FF Cup Competition.

Marimoo FC netted one goal in the match, which eventually proved to be a consolation for them.

The defeat saw Marimoo FC out of the FF Cup Championship and will now switch their attention to the 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division One League campaign.
