The Coastal Town boys, who missed promotion to the country’s top-flight league last season after slipping to Team Rihno 2-1 in the play-off match, are currently training at the Gunjur beach side to prepare themselves ready for the new second division league campaign.
Coach Bubacarr Kakai Bojang will use the next one month to prepare his boys fit enough for the country’s new second tier campaign after his side failed to gain promotion to the first division league last season.
Gunjur United finished fourth-place on the 2020-2021 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League table with 51 points after 30 league outings.
The Coastal Town boys lost to Team Rihno 2-1 in the first division league promotion play-off match played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on 18 August 2021.
