Gunjur United ruins Jam City in 2nd Division League

Gunjur United on Thursday defeated Jam City 5-2 in their week-eight fixture of the 2020-2021 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League game played at the National Technical training Centre in Yundum.

The Coastal Town boys sat 5th place in the country’s second tier with 11 points before clashing with the Jambanjelly based-team, who were topping the second division league with 19 points.

Gunjur United scored five goals in the match to snatch a convincing victory over Jam City.

The win earned the Coastal Town boys 3rd spot in the country’s second tier with 14 points in eight league games while Jam City are still top the second division league with 19 points despite slipping to Gunjur United 5-2.
Gunjur United will host Bombada in their week-nine encounter today, Monday at the Real De Banjul Football Academy Field in Basori at 4 p.m.

They will brawl to upset Bombada to maintain their winning run in the second tier.

Meanwhile, Jam City will clash to win their next league outing to maintain their lead in the country’s second tier.
