Greater Tomorrow FC lift Women's League Division Two trophy

Greater Tomorrow FC over weekend lifted the 2024\2025 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s League Division Two title.

The Greater Tomorrow Girls defeated The Gambia Armed Forces 4-3 in a nail-biting match played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.
Sensational forward Elizabeth Ndecky opened the scores for Greater Tomorrow in the 12th minute of the match.

Captain Wuday Colley extended Greater Tomorrow FC’s lead in the 45th minute of the match from a fantastic long range free-kick thus the first half ended 2-0 in favour of Greater Tomorrow.
Upon resumption of the match, The Gambia Armed Forces regrouped themselves and piled pressure on Greater Tomorrow FC.
Fatou Beyai pulled one back for The Gambia Armed Forces FC in 50th minute of the match.

Maria Camara levelled matters for The Gambia Armed Forces in the 52nd minute of the match.

Mesinda Mendy scored the third goal for Greater Tomorrow in the 55th minute of the match.

Mendy netted the fourth goal for Greater Tomorrow in the 76th minute of the match to complete her brace.

Substitute Binta Ceesay scored the third goal for The Gambia Armed Forces FC in the dying minute of the match thus the match ended 4-3 in favour of Greater Tomorrow FC.

As champions, Greater Tomorrow FC were decorated with a giant trophy, gold medals and a cheque amounting to D300, 000 while Fortune FC receivedD150,000 as runners-up.

The Gambia Armed Forces FC received D100, 000 as third-place holder.
M Greater Tomorrow FC and Fortune FC both gained promotion to the Women's League Division One after finishing first and second places on the Second Division League Two table.
