Greater Tomorrow Academy receives GFF, FIFA covid-19 relief fund

As Corona Virus continues to rampage the world and paralyze various sectors of development, with football not an exception, particularly Gambia Football Federation (GFF) and its affiliated football clubs there has been echoing calls for intervention to curtail the menace of the virus to the life and livelihood of players and all those involve in the game.

Since the outbreak of the virus, government agencies, multinational institutions, NGOs, philanthropists and individuals have been rendering relief assistance to those affected around the world.

Greater Tomorrow Football Academy of Brikama, West Coast Region on Tuesday received Gambia Football Federation (GFF) and FIFA Covid-19 Relief Fund.

The presentation which was held in Brikama at the Box Baa Mini Stadium saw both male and female teams with their respective technical staff received their funds.

Male players and their officials each received cash, 50kg bag of rice and a 5 liter gallon of vegetable oil while female players and their officials each went home with cash and 50kg bag of rice and a 5 liter gallon of vegetable oil.

 Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Benjamin Eze expressed delight and profound appreciation to GFF and FIFA for coming up with such a valuable package at a time when football the fraternity is feeling the woes of Covid-19.

He promised his academy's commitment to the core values of GFF and FIFA and hope such collaboration continue to exist and flourish among them.
