
Treasurer Engr Habu Gumel, who doubles as the President of National Olympic Committee of Nigeria was present during the visit to ANOC president.
The visit was aimed at strengthening NOC’s partnerships in sports development.
The visit was also aimed at fostering greater collaboration between GNOC and ANOCA.
In his welcoming statement, President of ANOCA, Mustapha Berraf, expressed his association’s readiness to support GNOC.
Berraf urged GNOC president to keep working hard with his team.
“We would continue to give our strong support to The Gambia. The Gambia has talents and good sport administrators. We must polish those talents and give support to the administrators,” Berraf said.
Berraf disclosed that he would visit The Gambia in the second quarter of the year along with ANOCA Treasurer.
He intends to meet President Adama Barrow to strengthen ties.
Berraf expressed his willingness to refurbish GNOC headquarters (Olympic House) and also ready to strengthen the capacity of GNOC team.
The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC), Bai Dodou Jallow, thanked ANOCA president for hosting GNOC delegation.
Jallow assured ANOCA president of his committee’s commitment to sports development in The Gambia.
