The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC) on Monday opened a 5-day Sports Administration course for young sport administrators from affiliated National Sport Associations at the Olympic house in Bakau.

The second-vice president of GNOC, Ousman Wadda, reiterated the NOC’s continual support to National Sport Associations.

"This course is designed to develop the capacity of the leaders in sport for the delivery of ethical sport, and to promote and sustain good governance in sport within the Olympic and sports movement in The Gambia,” Wadda said.

It will also assist in strengthening decision-making and provide best practices, especially within The Gambia NOC and its constituencies, he concluded.

The course is being administered by two experienced sport veterans in Lamin Sanneh and Ebou Joof.
