GNOC Executive Board meets Moroccan Embassy to fortify sports cooperation

The newly elected Executive Board of The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC), led by President, Bai Dodou Jallow, on Thursday visited the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Banjul to strengthen Gambia and Morocco sports cooperation.

The meeting covered sports exchange programmes, chances for Gambian coaches and athletes to get training.

The meeting also covered Morocco support in the form of sports equipment and infrastructure developments. 

President of GNOC, Bai Dodou Jallow, emphasized the importance of bilateral sports relations and proposed collaboration in hosting international competitions and capacity-building programmes.

He stated GNOC and Moroccan Embassy are both committed to deepening ties and also ensure practical steps toward implementing key initiatives.

The meeting concluded with a shared vision to enhance sporting opportunities and foster stronger relations between the two nations.

The meeting was attended by the Moroccan Ambassador (Chargé d'Affaires) to The Gambia, Mr Ahmed Belhadj, along with GNOC 2nd Vice President Mr. Bakary K. Jammeh, Secretary General Yorro Njie, and Technical Director Rev.

Mary Padro Decker, focused on strengthening sports diplomacy and exploring collaboration opportunities between the two nations.

Discussions covered key areas such as sports exchange programs, training opportunities for Gambian athletes and coaches.
