Furumus Gomez has been re-elected as the president of Upper River Regional Football Association unopposed.
FIFA announced each member association will get the fund as relief for the Covid-19 pandemic on football in its member nations. The money is categorised as grant to all member associations and part of it is allocated specifically to women’s football
In a letter sent out to teams, regional and allied associations, by the GFF states that the meeting will be held at the Football Hotel on Sunday 18th July 2020, and part of the meeting agenda is also to debate on the amendment to the 2020 budget.
The country’s football governing body (GFF) looks to receive D90 million from FIFA and CAF to help the football members and stakeholders live on the effect of the covid-19 pandemic.
According to Standard, most clubs owners and other stakeholders have reacted that they want the money received by GFF to be used to develop their structures, finance programmes and pay their players wages among other things.
