GFF 1st Division League night games to resume tomorrow

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) is set to continue the First Division League night games tomorrow at the Independence Stadium with matches to resume in the week-16 fixtures.

The resumption of the league will see Marimoo entertain Elite United in the first encounter on Thursday.

Manjai-based team, Marimoo sit rock-bottom position on the league standing with 13 points after three wins, four draws and eight defeats, while Elite United moved to 4th position with 22 points after four wins, ten draws and one defeat.

The second encounter on Thursday will see B.K. Milan battling it out with Real de Banjul.

Kachikally Boys, B.K. Milan sit 11th position with 15 points after collecting three wins, six draws and six losses, while struggling Real de Banjul dropped to 7th position with 21 points after five wins, six draws and four defeats.

Hawks FC will play against Wallidan in the first encounter on Friday.

The Reds, Hawks FC sit 8th position with 16 points after conceding five defeats, seven draws and registered three wins, while Wallidan occupy 10th position with 15 points after two wins, nine draws and 4 defeats.

The second encounter on Friday will see Gamtel lock horns with Waa Banjul.

Telecommunication Boys, Gamtel currently sit 12th position with 15 points after winning four, drawing three and losing eight games. Banjul-based team, Waa Banjul occupy 6th position with 21 points after securing five wins, six draws and losing 4 matches in 15 games.

On Saturday, the Ferry Boys, The Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) will play against inform Brikama United in the early kick-off.

GPA sit 5th position with 21 points after collecting five wins, six draws and four defeats before the break, while Brikama United who collected five consecutive wins before going for the break now moved to 2nd position with 26 points after gathering seven wins, five draws and three defeats.

Banjul United will play against league leaders Fortune FC in the late encounter on Saturday.

League leaders, Fortune will aim to continue their unbeaten run in the league as they collected 35 points following ten wins and five draws, while Banjul United occupy 9th position with 16 points after three wins, seven draws and five defeats

The end of the week-16 fixtures will see the Khaki Boys, The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) play Tallinding United on Sunday.

The Soldiers sit 3rd position with 23 points after six wins, five draws and four defeats, while Buffer Zone boys Tallinding United occupy second from bottom (12th) position with 13 points after two wins, seven draws and six defeats.

All games will be playing at the Independence Stadium starting exactly at 8:30 p.m.
