Gambia Wrestling Association visits Spanish Embassy

The Gambia Wrestling Association has visited Spanish Embassy.

The delegation was led by the president of The Gambia Wrestling Association Matarr Saine, accompanied by his dedicated executive team.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General of The Gambia Wrestling Association, Aisha Corr, emphasised the importance of the visit.

Corr highlighted the potential of collaboration between The Gambia Wrestling Association and Spanish authorities.

She discussed how such partnership could greatly benefit athletes, technical teams and other key players within the wrestling community.
President of The Gambia Wrestling Association, Matarr Saine, elaborated on the importance of the visit, adding that the visit advocate for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that would support and uplift wrestling athletes in The Gambia.

Saine articulated the various ways in which this collaboration could enhance the growth and development of the sport in the country.

The Charge d'Affaires of the Spanish Embassy, Violeta Jnsa Fandoval, welcomed the visiting team.

She expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by The Gambia Wrestling Association in fostering a longstanding relationship between the two nations.

Jnsa Fandoval assured the delegation that she would do her utmost to facilitate seamless cross-border operations between the association and Spanish authorities.

She expressed her intention to attend the upcoming national championship wrestling competition scheduled for this month in the capital city of Banjul, reinforcing her commitment to supporting the sport.
