The tournament is set to begin next month in Guinea Bissau.
Head coach Daniel Nyaki and his charges are currently training at the Independent Stadium Basketball Court in Bakau to prepare themselves fit enough for the upcoming basketball tournament.
The team will participate in the competition following an invitation from their Guinea Bissau counterparts.
Head coach of The Gambia Basketball team, Daniel Nyaki, stated that the preparation for the upcoming Amical Cabral tournament is in high gear.
“It is not going be an easy task for me because I never coached the national team before.”
‘‘This is the first time to take the team for an international competition and I would do my best to guide the team to gather good results during the tournament,’’ Nyaki said.
