The Gambia U-20 team will open its 2023 Total Energies Africa U-20 Youth Championship account against Tunisia on 21st February 2023 at 4pm.

The Young Scorpions will play against Zambia in their second group match on 24th February 2023 at 7pm before clashing with Benin in their third and final group match on 27th February 2023 at 7pm.

Coach Abdoulie Bojang and his charges will strive to win all their group matches to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2023 Africa U-20 Youth Championship.

The Young Scorpions are currently preparing themselves fit enough for the continent’s bi-annual cadet biggest football fiesta at the National Technical Training Centre in Yundum.

It would be recalled that The Gambia U-20 team won bronze medal in the 2021 Africa U-20 Youth Championship hosted in Mauritania, after beating Tunisia 4-2 on post-match penalty shootouts in their third-place play-off match played at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott.
