Gambia U-20 defender happy to sign for Ukrainian side

Fortune FC and The Gambia U-20 defender, Moses Jarju has expressed delight after signing for Ukrainian side, FC Polissya Zhytomyr. His contract will come to effect on 1st July 2023. He signed for an undisclosed fee.

According to Fortune FC website, the 19-year-old was spotted playing for their club in the league by FC Polissya who beefed up their interest by following him at the recently concluded 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt where the defender helped The Gambia U-20 to a runners-up position, thereby winning a medal.

“I am elated. This is massive and I am looking forward to another stage in my career. I will make sure that I compliment their trust and confidence in me,” he said on the Fortune FC club website.

Polissya Zhytomyr is a Ukrainian football club based in Zhytomyr, Polissya. They currently play in the Ukrainian First League (second-tier league) where they top the table and from next season, they will join heavyweights, Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kyiv in the Ukrainian Premier League.
