The Baby Scorpions will begin their continent’s cadet biggest football showpiece campaign against Senegal on 1st April 2025 at the Stade El Abdi.
The Gambia U-17 team won U-17 Africa Cup of Nations trophy twice in 2005 and 2009 respectively.
The Baby Scorpions qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup twice in 2005 and 2009 respectively but were eliminated in the group phase.
Meanwhile, Minister for Youth and Sports Bakary Y. Badjie yesterday handed over the national flag to The Gambia U-17 team before travelling to Morocco for the 2025 Total Energies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
