The Baby Scorpions thrashed The Gambia U-15 team 3-0 in their final warm up match played at the National Technical Training Centre in Old Yundum on Tuesday before travelling to Senegal for the sub-regional junior biggest football showpiece.
The Gambia U-17 team will use the upcoming days to prepare themselves physical fit for their clash with the Guineans.
Coach Yahya Manneh and his Baby Scorpions charges will contend to win all their group matches to cruise to the semi-finals of the 2024 WAFA Zone A U-17 football tournament.
The Gambia won the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations trophy twice in 2005 and 2009 respectively.
The Baby Scorpions qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup twice in 2005 and 2009 respectively.
Meanwhile, Coach Yahya Manneh has named his final twenty man- squad for the 2024 WAFU Zone A U-17 football tournament.
