Gambia to lock horns with Mali in AFCON qualifiers on March 21st

The Gambia will rub shoulders with Mali in Group G fixture of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on 21st March 2023 at the Modibo Keita Stadium in Bamako, according to news reaching Point Sports Desk.

The Scorpions currently sit third-place in Group G of the continent’s biennial biggest football fiesta qualifiers with 3 points following their slender 1-0 win over South Sudan in their opening qualifiers before losing to Congo 1-0 in their second group match.

The Gambia must beat Mali in their third group match to increase their dreams of qualifying for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Ivory Coast.

Mali currently sit top-spot in Group G of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with 6 points after defeating Congo and South Sudan in their two opening group matches.

The Eagles will prepare to beat The Gambia in their third group game to maintain their hundred percent record in the continent’s bi-annual biggest football showpiece qualifiers.

It could be recalled that The Gambia drew 1-1 with Mali in the group phase of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Cameroon.
