Gambia to face S/Sudan in Africa U-20 Youth Championship quarter-final today

Gambia and South Sudan

The Gambia U-20 team will lock horns with South Sudan U-20 team in their quarter-final match of the 2023 Total Energies Africa U-20 Youth Championship today, Friday 3rd March 2023 at the Haras El Hodoud Stadium in Alexandria, Egypt at 2pm.

The Young Scorpions finished top-spot in Group C of the continent’s bi-annual junior biggest football fiesta with 9 points after winning all their group matches.

South Sudan qualified for the quarter-finals as one of the best third-placed teams in the 2023 Total Energies Africa U-20 Youth Championship.

The match promises to be an exciting encounter, with both The Gambia U-20 team and South Sudan U-20 team looking to make it to the semi-finals of the 2023 Total Energies Africa U-20 Youth Championship.

The semi-finalists of the 2023 Total Energies Africa U-20 Youth Championship will represent the continent in the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup to be hosted in Indonesia.
