It could be recalled that the Baby Scorpions won U-17 Africa Cup of Nations trophy twice in 2005 and 2009 after defeating Ghana and Algeria in the finals.
The Gambia qualified for FIFA U-20 World Cup twice in 2005 and 2009 respectively.
