The Gambia and Guinea Bissau on Sunday played a goalless draw in an international friendly match played in Antalya, Turkey, as the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers draws nearer.

The Scorpions and the Djurtus created some goal-scoring opportunities but failed to materialise on them thus the match ended goalless.

The international friendly match was part of The Gambia’s preparations for their crunch 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mali in March 2023.

Coach Tom Saintfiet and his charges will hope to play more international friendly matches before clashing with Mali in their next qualifier match.

The Eagles currently sit top-spot in Group F of the continent’s bi-annual biggest football fiesta with 6 points after two group matches.

The Scorpions sit third-place in Group F of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with 3 points in two group matches.
