The Gambia foreign based players are set to arrive in the country soon for their crucial 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at home to Angola on 25 March 2021, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 4 p.m.

The Scorpions are currently leading Group D of the continent’s biggest football fiesta qualifiers with 7 points prior to their clash with the Palancas Negras, who are struggling in the qualifiers with 1 point following their goalless draw with Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Gambia require four points in their final two qualifier matches against Angola and Democratic Republic of Congo to snatch qualification to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Cameroon.

Coach Tom Saintfiet and his charges will prepare themselves fit enough to beat Angola and Democratic Republic of Congo in their final qualifier games to secure qualification to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

Angola is currently occupying bottom-place in Group D of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with 1 point following their goalless draw with Democratic Republic of Congo after slipping to The Gambia 3-1 and Gabon 2-1 in their last qualifier matches.

The Palancas Negras need to conquer The Gambia and Gabon in their remaining qualifier games to fancy their dreams of qualifying for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Cameroon.
