The Deaf Scorpions lost to Nigeria 5-3 on post-match penalty shootouts after regular time ended 1-1 in a keenly-contested final played in Abuja last week.
The country's deaf team was received by members of The Gambia Deaf Association (GDA) at the Banjul International Airport.
GDA applauded the Deaf Scorpions for their remarkable performance during the West Africa deaf football tournament.
