Gambia deaf national team dismantle Guinea Bissau in int’l friendly

The Gambia National deaf national team on Saturday defeated Guinea Bissau deaf national team 6-1 in an international friendly match played at Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Masanneh Sumareh netted a hat-trick for the deaf Scorpions in the 3rd, 35th and 41st minute of the match respectively.

Substitute Musa Magassey registered a brace for the deaf Scorpions in the 78th minute and stoppage time of the match respectively.

Adramane Djau scored the consolation goal for Guinea Bissau deaf national team during the match.

The international friendly match was part of The Gambia deaf national team’s technical preparations ahead of the deaf football tournaments.

The Gambia deaf national team will represent the country in the 13th edition of the West Africa deaf football tournament to be hosted in Benin.

The deaf Scorpions will also represent The Gambia in the 2nd Africa Deaf lympuc Football qualifiers to be held in Morocco.

The qualifiers matches are set to begin on 15th November 2024 and finish on 30th November 2024.
