The donated items include rugby balls, table tennis, athletic gears and mix martial arts materials.
The presentation of the items was held at the Independent Stadium in Bakau.
Modou Lamin Jawla, the deputy executive director at the National Sports Council (NSC), said it’s good to have the sporting materials that would be used to promote sports development in the country.
Mr. Jawla thanked the donors for the gesture.
He advised the beneficiaries to make the best use of the donated items.
Minkalu Secka, the chairman of Bbuilding Project Gambia, said he aims to make Rugby popular in the country just like football.
Mr. Secka stated that his organisation is partnering with different government institutions in the country to render support to organisations.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Momodou Lamin Sompo Ceesay, president of the Gambia Table Tennis Association (GTTA), assured the donors that the donated items would be put into good use.
