Gaffer Ebou Jarra talks about North Star Academy endeavours

Renowned Gambian football coach and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of North Star Academy has talked about  North Star Academy endeavour to accomplish in the coming months and years to make an indelible impact in Gambian football and sports.

Jarra, who coached Talinding United, Gamtel, Real de Banjul, The Gambia Armed Forces and The Gambia Ports Authority, explained that North Star Academy emerged in The Gambia in 2024.

Jarra stated that they booked their place in the North Bank Regional Football Association (NBRFA) Male and Female Third Division League competitions, adding that they also have U-17 team.

"We are currently camped. We have minimum 50 kids that we have camped in Karang and Amdalai.

This is the academy and we want to emulate the likes of Jambarr, Generation Foot and others.

This is what we want to do," Coach Jarra said.

Jarra stated that they want to turn their football field into a mini stadium where they would play their league matches.

“We are preparing ourselves for football proper in the North Bank Region. With the pitch already at an advanced stage, there are buildings near one end of the pitch,” Gaffer Jarra explained.

Jarra revealed that the purpose is to try to house as many as hundred kids and academy members to establish a school.
