Sanyang thumped Kombo East 2-0 in their quarter-final match to progress to the semi-finals of the annual West Coast Region football tournament.
Foni and Sanyang were both keen to thump each other in their semi-final encounter to sail to the final of the 2023 West Coast Region zonal football tournament but regulation time ended 2-2.
This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 5-3 in favour of Foni.
Foni will now clash with Gunjur in the final of the 2023 West Coast Region zonal football tournament.
Gunjur beat COSDA 1-0 in their semi-final match played at the Sanyang Football Field to progress to the final of the annual West Coast Region zonal tournament.
